Early in term one, we went to St Clair beach to recap on our beach safety knowledge with the local lifeguards. It was a fun day and we surprised ourselves about how much (and how little) we could actually remember from last year! The top surf safe rules we learnt were...


  • Swim between the yellow and red flags! A lifeguard will be watching there.
  • Be Sunsmart - put suncreen on and reapply every hour or after you have been in the water.
  • Always have an adult with you.
  • Be smart around rocks - wear a life jacket when fishing from rocks!
